Memorial Day Thoughts

Well, I'm not sure about this "blogging" thing but I will give it a try. This is memorial weekend and I just want to take a minute to remember the ones we've lost in the past! I myself haven't lost anyone close to me in my family, but my husband has lost alot since we've been together (14 yrs.) and the most important one to him I think was his dad. He passed away 3 months before our wedding in 1993. That's been pretty tough for him. He doesn't go to the cemetery to visit or to take out any memorial things for the headstone, but as a loving and caring wife, I do it for him. He doesn't ask but I do it anyway! I didn't get much time to get to know his dad but as much as I love my husband, I can thank his dad for that! We miss you very much Mike! Wish you were hear to see your grand kids and see how much of a hard worker, good dad and husband your son has become. You did good! We love you!!!!! And to the rest of those we've all lost, we miss you too! Just a quick thought to get this blogging thing started and sorry if I started it on a sad note, this was something that was on my mind at the time and that's what blogging is all about!
